Can I integrate an oxygen microsensor into a catheter?

The optical fiber of the oxygen microsensor has an outer diameter of 0.9 mm and is felxible; therefore, it can easily be integrated into standard catheters. The catheter will serve as protective cover for the hair thin sensor tip. For measurements the sensor tip has to be exposed, either by pushing the optical fiber out or retracting the catheter.
