How do I measure the oxygen content in small headspace packages with a needle-type oxygen microsensor?

It is recommended to fix the needle-type oxygen microsensor with a clip to a laboratory support or any other stable construction. Whenever the sensor tip is exposed handle the sensor with the utmost caution as the tip is very delicate.

You can pierce the septum of a package or a vial with the syringe needle. Make sure the sensor tip is not pushed out when doing so. While inside the needle the sensor tip is protected.

When the needle is inserted into the package or vial, carefully push out the sensor tip and take your measurements.
