How many autoclaving cycles can an optical oxygen sensor go through without affecting the sensor performance?
The number of autoclaving cycles that an autoclavable optical oxygen sensor can withstand depends on the autoclaving temperature and duration and also varies between the different sensor types. We recommend typical autoclaving temperatures of 121 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes. Higher temperatures and longer autoclaving times will cause the sensor to deteriorate more quickly.
