O2 & pH Monitoring Platform for Different Well Plate Formats
PhoxyCube
PhoxyCube is a monitoring platform based on PreSens imaging technology. This system can be used inside an incubator and is ideally suited for high-throughput screenings, cell cultivations or a multitude of parallel respiration measurements. It allows oxygen (DO) and pH monitoring in well plates of different formats. These well plates – PhoxyPlates – have optical sensors integrated in each well that are read out non-invasively through the transparent plate bottom with the readout unit. The innovative image-based read out makes PhoxyCube compatible with variable plate geometries. Currently well plates in 24-well plate format with both oxygen and pH sensor, and 96-well plates with either oxygen or pH sensors are available. The PhoxyCube system is controlled with intuitive software that has several features, like color coding or grouping of wells, and shows measurement data in real time in graphic representations.
- Non-invasive measurements of O2 & pH through well bottom
- Innovative image-based read out compatible with variable plate geometries
- For use in incubator
- Ideally suited for cell cultivation
- Multitude of parallel respiration measurements
- Ready-to-use disposables
- Visualization of kinetics in real-time
Applications
Simultaneous O2 & pH Monitoring in Cell Culture
Monitoring oxygen and pH levels is critical in cell culture. Changes in O2 concentration or pH can lead to metabolic stress and alter cell functions. With the PhoxyCube system these two parameters can be measured in real time; optimal culture conditions can be ensured and inaccurate experiment results avoided.
Dose-Response Study in Pharmacological Research
The measurement of dose-response relationships is essential for understanding the effects of pharmacological agents on cellular functions. Changes in cell metabolism also show in changes in the cells’ oxygen uptake rate. With the PhoxyCube system and the PhoxyPlate 96 O highly parallelized oxygen measurements and dose-response studies can easily be performed. Adverse effects will show immediately in the online oxygen measurement data.
Respiration Measurements with PhoxyCube
PhoxyCube is the ideal tool for respiration measurements and research. Oxygen can be monitored in a multitude of samples simultaneously over time. Whether it is germination in plant seeds or respiration of small aquatic organisms, whatever your research subject is, with PhoxyCube any changes in oxygen consumption will be visible immediately.
