The PhoxyCube 96 P are 96-well pates with optical pH sensors integrated at the bottom of each well. Placed on the PhoxyCube readout unit the pH in the wells can be monitored in real time. The non-invasive measurement principle is based on PreSens imaging technology. The whole PhoxyCube system with PhoxyPlates can be placed in an incubator and is therefore ideally suited for high-throughput screenings, cell culture and toxicity screenings. Applications

Simultaneous O2 & pH Monitoring in Cell Culture

Monitoring oxygen and pH levels is critical in cell culture. Changes in O2 concentration or pH can lead to metabolic stress and alter cell functions. With the PhoxyCube system these two parameters can be measured in real time; optimal culture conditions can be ensured and inaccurate experiment results avoided.


Dose-Response Study in Pharmacological Research

The measurement of dose-response relationships is essential for understanding the effects of pharmacological agents on cellular functions. Changes in cell metabolism also show in changes in the cells’ oxygen uptake rate. With the PhoxyCube system and the PhoxyPlate 96 O highly parallelized oxygen measurements and dose-response studies can easily be performed. Adverse effects will show immediately in the online oxygen measurement data.
