Can I use the SDR for measurement of photosynthesis?

The sensors in the disposable plates cannot be used for set-ups involving ambient light or even illumination, because the fluorescent dye embedded in the sensor will bleach. However, photosynthesis can be monitored with the 2 or 4 mL SensorVials, which use an oxygen sensor with a black optical isolation. This optical isolation shields the sensitive dye from the light. Additionally, PreSens offers the SDR-MSV24 Shielding Mask, which was specifically designed for photosynthesis measurements. The mask shields the SDR optics from ambient or artificial light used in these experiments and ensures precise measurements.
