A New Generation of Oxygen Meters - Fibox 4 & Fibox 4 trace
October 10, 2013In September at this year´s Drinktec, the world´s leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry, PreSens used the chance to present its latest products - the Fibox 4 & Fibox 4 trace. This new generation of oxygen meters is designed for maximum user friendliness, facilitating oxygen measurements with the precision of already known and established PreSens sensor technology. Positive customer response throughout the last weeks showed, that the new oxygen meters are really must-have equipment in many application fields.
The product launch of PreSens´ new oxygen meters Fibox 4 & Fibox 4 trace in September proved a success. Combined with the existing PreSens sensor portfolio the new devices offer unchanged precision oxygen measurements while at the same time facilitating measurements with several new features. The development of these new oxygen meters was quite a challenge for our R&D team; they tried to take requirements of most diffferent application fields and customer feedback in consideration while designing the devices. At the same time, known procedures and work flow during measurements should be made as user-friendly as possible. Not only by prospective customers at the Drinktec - from the beverage and packaging industries - the oxygen meter is very well received.
Unlike former PreSens oxygen measurement devices, the Fibox 4 & Fibox 4 trace now do not require permanent connection to a PC or laptop. The portable devices have a color display, integrate rechargeable batteries and immense storage capacity. Whether it is industrial applications, where the oxygen meter can be opreated even with heavy gloves on, or out in the field exposed to harsh conditions, with a splash proof housing and easy controls the oxygen meters ensure comfortable use in any situation. With their small footprint and in combination with non-invasive sensors they are an ideal tool for oxygen monitoring in the lab as well. A whole new sensor management system was realized in the design of Fibox 4 & Fibox 4 trace. Now sensor recognition and calibration is done with a barcode scan and measurements can be started immediately. Every PreSens oxygen sensor (or sensor batch) is delivered with a unique barcode now, so worry-free application of different sensors is guaranteed. Another feature that evolved from customer requirements is the new energy management system. With special energy saving settings measurements up to 30 days can be performed without having to recharge the batteries of the devices. This gives the opportunity of long-term and computer independent oxygen monitoring.
These are just some of the new features our new generation of oxygen meters can show up with. Especially the members of the R&D team, who spent months of hard work to create these devices, were very proud, when introducing them. And the latest customer response confirms that they have done a great job with their Fibox 4 & Fibox 4 trace.
