PreSens Team Participates in 2014 Regensburg Company Run
July 11, 2014Nine staff members took the challenge and ran the 6.5 km of the "REWAG Firmenlauf 2014" on July 9th here in Regensburg. Altogether 140 local companies, associations and other organizations took part in the run - and PreSens wouldn´t be missing in that!
More than a week before the run the LLC Marathon Regensburg e. V., organizer of the race, had to close their application portal as the maximum number of participants had already been reached. Though part of the registered runners probably got scared off by the nasty weather conditions - one of the coolest and rainiest days in weeks - more than 1600 paricipants gathered at the starting point on the REWAG company premises (the main sponsor of the event).
And among them our nine colleagues, highly motivated and ready to represent the company at the run. After a tightly packed start the field loosened along the course that took the runners in a loop through the eastern districts of Regensburg and back to the starting point. In half an hour, or a little more, all the members of the PreSens team managed the distance. Their final rankings ranging from the top 30s to the middle field showed that they couldn´t be outpace so easily.
And it is not all just about fun, team spirit, and physical fitness - part of the application fees for the run will be donated to social projects.
