November 14, 2024Our new monitoring platform based on the well-proven PreSens imaging technology - the PhoxyCube together with the PhoxyPlates – is an innovative image-based reader that can measure O2 and / or pH in different well plate formats through the well bottom. It is meant for use in incubators and therefore ideally suited for cell cultures, toxicity screenings, tissue engineering and respiration measurements.
The PhoxyCube is used with the ready-to-use disposable PhoxyPlates in 24-well plate format with both oxygen and pH sensor, or with 96-well plates with either oxygen (DO; 0 – 100 % air saturation) or pH (5.5 – 8.0 pH) sensors. The sensors are integrated at the bottom of each well and measurements are taken in parallel, non-invasively and in real time through the transparent well bottoms. This product combination helps to ensure optimal culture conditions, to observe changes in cell metabolism, to avoid inaccurate experiment results or to keep an eye on oxygen consumption.
The color-coding of the matching reader software allows to detect critical effects in each well or all wells very easily and it is also possible to visualize kinetics in real-time – giving the chance to optimize culture conditions as one never misses the slightest change. The software also offers to combine wells in groups and look at their kinetics in one graph or to organize data from different experiments in sessions. The new PhoxyCube together with the PhoxyPlates takes cell culture analyzes to a new level of transparency!
