Single-Use pH Flow-Through Cell FTC-SU-LG1-US

The FTC-SU-LG1-US consists of a small pH sensor with broader measurement range - from pH 4.0 to 8.5 - on a color coded stick, which is attached to a single-use T-cell. The sensor stick can also be mounted to flow-through cells of other size and shape, according to requirements. Via polymer optical fiber the sensor inside the FTC can be read out non-invasively and pH changes in perfusion systems can be followed online. The FTC-SU-LG1-US is made of polycarbonate and is delivered untreated (not irradiated).

Applications

pH Monitoring in Liver Cell Bioreactor

An important aspect of efficient liver cell bioreactors is the automated regulation of physio-chemical culture parameters. A non-invasive pH regulation device for a perfusion bioreactor has been developed. The high performance of the system is based on one of our chemical optical flow-through cells for pH detection and its combination with precision mass-flow controllers for gas. The new controller allows long time stable and contamination free online pH regulation in complex bioreactor systems - an important technical contribution for future clinical applications.

Online Measurement in Perfusion Systems

Beta-irradiated and pre-calibrated pH and DO flow-through sensors can be integrated into perfusion systems. This allows easy control of process parameters in perfusion reactors. Typically Luer connectors are used, though different sizes for larger or smaller flow rates are available.
