Compact Trace Oxygen Meter with Analog Output
OXY-1 SMA-trace-RS232-AO
The OXY-1 SMA-trace-RS232-AO is compatible with non-invasive sensors, dipping probes and flow-through cells of type PSt3 (detection limit 15 ppb dissolved oxygen, 0 - 100 % oxygen), type PSt6 (detection limit 1 ppb dissolved oxygen, 0 - 5 % oxygen) and PSt9 (detection limit 0.5 ppmv O2, 0 – 200 ppmv O2). This oxygen meter has a USB or RS232 (optionally RS485) digital interface and a 4 to 20 mA (current sink) analog output. OXY-1 SMA-trace-RS232-AO has temperature compensation, so most precise measurements in environments with changing temperature can be taken. The oxygen meter can be operated with the EOM-STS Pro (Serial) or the PreSens Measurement Studio 2 software (USB), which enables simultaneous control of several devices. With numerous features, additional pressure and salinity compensation, the software makes the OXY-1 SMA-trace-RS232-AO suitable for numerous applications.

Applications
OXY-1 SMA Devices for Biological Research
The OXY-1 SMA and OXY-1 SMA Trace can be set up in a few quick steps and fit almost anywhere. As the devices are powered via USB no extra power connection, cables or adapters are necessary. Use them for fast checks on the oxygen content in samples or continuous long-term measurements. Applicable with different types of slender dipping probes, flow-through cells or non-invasive oxygen sensor spots the OXY-1 SMA devices can be used for oxygen monitoring in most different measurement set-ups. Check the oxygen content in water or sediment samples, monitor microbial O2 consumption or respiration of small organisms, even in perfusion systems oxygen can be measured continuously. With temperature, pressure and salinity compensation these oxygen meters always give precise oxygen measurements and are the tools for every research team.
OXY-1 SMA Devices in Material Research
OXY-1 SMA devices can be used with the PreSens Permeation Cell. This measurement cell allows to determine the oxygen transmission rate of material films. OXY-1 SMA is suited to analyse perforated, permeable materials, while OXY-1 SMA Trace can also be used to determine the OTR in barrier materials. Due to the non-invasive, optical measurement principle the compact oxygen meters do not have to be permanently connected to one Permeation Cell so several samples can be analyzes in parallel. The OXY-1 devices and Permeation Cells are an easy-to-handle and space saving system for oxygen permeability determination in material research.
Compact O2 Meters for Culture Monitoring
The small OXY-1 SMA devices are ideally suited for all benchtop applications. Combined with oxygen sensor spots integrated in transparent bioreactors or other culture vessels they allow non-invasive, continuous culture monitoring without the risk of contamination. Connected to one of PreSens' O2 flow-through cells even the oxygen content in perfusion systems and bypaths can easily be determined. The OXY-1 SMA devices are quickly installed, easy to operate and even multiple devices can be controlled from one PC. So no matter if lab space or time are limited - OXY-1 SMA and OXY-1 SMA Trace are the solution for culture monitoring!
Quality Control in Food & Beverages with OXY-1 SMA Devices
Set up in a few easy steps these oxygen meters allow fast assessment of the oxygen content in products or containers. Avoid oxidative deterioration and determine the shelf life of your packed food or beverage products, check oxygen taken up while filling or the air-tightness of packaging. O2 content in headspace as well as in liquid products can be measured. As these oxygen meters can be combined with sensors in different designs, e. g. dipping probes, or sensor spots for non-invasive O2 measurements, they can be applied in any stage of the production or filling process and deliver most precise results.
